1. We arrange the work — we are not the installer

Paving Cape Town is an independent lead-generation and quote-request service. We take your enquiry, work out what the job needs and arrange for a paving installer to measure up and quote you. The paving itself — the excavation, the base, the laying and the jointing — is carried out by independent paving installers, not by us. We do not employ pavers and we own no plant.

We say so here because it changes who you are dealing with on site. The person who arrives at your gate to measure up runs their own business, carries their own insurance and signs their own contract with you.

2. Your agreement is with the installer

When you request a quote, your enquiry is passed to one or more independent paving installers working in your part of Cape Town. Any quote, contract, payment, materials, workmanship and guarantee are agreed directly between you and the installer who does the work. That includes the price, the timeline and any workmanship warranty. Paving Cape Town is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for the work performed.

Practically: read the written quote before you sign it, including what the warranty covers, what it excludes and how long it runs. A warranty that only exists in conversation is not a warranty. Our Terms of Service set this out in full.

3. We don’t publish rates — your price comes from a quote

We do not publish rates for paving work on this site — no price per square metre, no price per job and no product prices in our guides. Nothing on this site is an offer to contract at a stated price.

What you actually pay depends on the area in square metres, the paver you choose, the state of the existing surface and sub-base, slope, drainage, site access, and any permits or body-corporate approvals your property needs. It is confirmed only in a written quotation after someone has measured up at your place.

4. What it costs you

There is no fee to you for requesting a quote. No booking deposit, no call-out charge for the measure-up, and no obligation to go ahead with the work. If the price comes back higher than you want to spend, walk away — that is a perfectly normal outcome.

5. Finish examples and guide images are computer-generated

The finish examples on this site, and the photos on our service pages and in our blog guides, are computer-generated illustrations, there to show you the kinds of paving finishes and situations we describe. They are not photographs, not a record of any specific past job, and not images of any particular property.

Final appearance varies with the paver batch, lighting, joint width, edge restraints and the setting, so confirm colours and finishes against a physical sample before you choose.

6. What we can and cannot do if something goes wrong

We make a good-faith effort to put capable installers in front of you, but we do not guarantee that a quote will be provided, what it will cost, when anyone is available, or the outcome of any work. Satisfy yourself as to an installer's suitability, insurance and references before you engage them — ask for proof of public liability cover, and ask them to spell out the excavation, base and bedding depths on the quote.

If a job goes wrong, the claim goes to the installer who carried out the work, in writing, as soon as you notice the problem. Tell us as well and we will try to help make contact — but we cannot compel an independent business to act. None of this limits your rights under section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, which entitles you to services performed in a manner and quality that persons are generally entitled to expect.

7. Third-party names and links

Any third-party business, product or brand names that appear on this site — paver manufacturers, suppliers, standards bodies — are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. They do not imply affiliation, endorsement or partnership unless we say so expressly. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

This site, and any service arranged through it, is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
