Terms of Service

The terms that govern our website, quotes and workmanship.

Last updated: 25 May 2026

These terms govern your use of pavingcapetown.co.za (the “site”) and any quote, communication or work performed by Paving Cape Town (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site or requesting a quote you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The site provides information about our paving services and allows you to request a no-obligation quote. It is not a transactional platform — no paving service is sold or contracted through the site itself. Any work we perform is governed by a separate written quote and acceptance between you and us.

2. Quote Requests & Quote Disclaimer

Indicative prices, ranges or estimates mentioned anywhere on the site or in early correspondence are guidelines only. All firm quotes are subject to:

  • An on-site inspection and measurement;
  • Verification of access, site conditions, slope, drainage and existing sub-base;
  • Confirmation of paver brand, product line and current supplier pricing;
  • Any permits, body-corporate or HOA approvals required at your property.

Paving Cape Town is a directory that matches you with vetted paving contractors — we do not carry out paving work ourselves. Any quote becomes binding only once the contractor you choose has provided a written, signed quotation and you have confirmed acceptance with them in writing. Quotes are typically valid for 30 days from issue unless the contractor states otherwise.

3. Workmanship Warranty

Workmanship warranties are provided by the individual paving contractors in our network, not by Paving Cape Town. Network contractors offer a written workmanship warranty of at least 5 years on their installation work — covering defects in the laying, edging, sub-base preparation and jointing of pavers — and the exact terms appear in the quote you accept. If a covered defect appears within the warranty period, the contractor who carried out the work is responsible for relaying the affected section at no charge to you.

A contractor's workmanship warranty typically does not cover:

  • Damage caused by vehicles exceeding the rated load of the paver class installed;
  • Damage caused by tree roots, building movement, plumbing leaks or subsidence outside the contractor's control;
  • Cosmetic surface wear, efflorescence, or natural colour variation in clay, stone or concrete pavers;
  • Work modified or repaired by a third party after the contractor left site;
  • Force majeure events including flooding, fire or earthquake.

To claim under the warranty, contact us in writing within 30 days of noticing the defect.

4. Material Warranties

Pavers, edging units, sealers and other manufactured products carry their own warranties from their respective manufacturers (for example Bosun, Corobrik or Revelstone). These warranties pass through to you and are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and claim procedure. We will assist you with a manufacturer claim where reasonable, but we are not the warrantor for those products.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages arising out of or relating to our services or your use of this site, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, loss of data, or business interruption.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any direct loss arising from a project is limited to the total value paid by you for that project.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

6. Images & Representative Examples

Photographs of completed work, paver styles, finishes and installations shown on the site are representative examples. Final appearance will vary depending on the specific paver batch, lighting conditions, joint width, edge restraints and site context. Sample colours and finishes should be confirmed against a physical sample before final selection.
